Our client is a global leader in development of natural food/beverages ingredients for global brands. Due to continued development, we are now looking for a professional to take on the new role of in the new Shared Service Center:
Senior GL Accountant/ GL Accountant
Place of work: Warsaw
Responsibilities:
• Collect, analyze and summarize accounting information
• Analyze financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
• Oversee accounting operations based on accounting principles
• Develop periodic reports for management
• Help with meeting statutory deadlines for publishing the financial statements
• Help with calculating taxes and preparing tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc.
• Responsible for reconciling/managing fixed asset/depreciation listing and roll-forward
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations such as fixed assets, prepaid, accrued payroll, accrued costs, provisions, deferred income, etc.
• Provide VAT reporting including SAT-F; reconciliation of VAT accounts & registers
• Support in the obligatory reporting to the local authorities
• Responsible for monthly closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, inter-company, prepaid amortization, and accruals.
• Prepare reports using spreadsheets, accounting software, or other business intelligence software as required
• Keep information confidential and secure them with database backups
• Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation
• Work on a daily basis with SAP
• Report to Finance Manager/Head of Shared Service Center
Requirements:
• University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role (GL Accountant),4 years’ experience (Senior GL Accountant)
• Very good knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
• Excellent accounting software user
• Strong communication skills
• MS Excel required, and database query tools knowledge would be an asset
• Good command of spoken and written Polish and English is a must. Other language skills are considered a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Well organized and able to work to deadlines
• Experience from shared service center is an advantage
