Our client is a leading global player, manufacturer of advanced Fastening Solutions (fasteners) for various industrial sectors such as automotive, electronics, data/telecom, machine building to mention a few. With over 75 years market experience, they have become one of the most recognized players on the global fastening market. Due to continued development plans, we are now looking for a professional to take on the new challenging role of:

Technical Sales Engineer – Fastening Solutions (Industrial) - France

Place of work: home office (preferably Paris area or northern part of France)

Responsibilities:

- Independent sales role in the assigned territory ( especially northern part of France)
- Developing sales of high quality fastening solutions (fasteners) to industrial end clients, manufacturers (sheet metal, automotive tiers, consumer electronics, medical, telecom, datacom)
- Supporting distributors and existing clients with technical advice, developing relations with current clients
- Working in the field, visiting current and potential clients, production facilities - technical support
- Assisting and providing customers with solutions on fastener component selection through advice, arranging sample installations and providing test report data compiled by the Applications Engineering Department
- Maintaining and developing cooperation with regional distribution partners (sales through disrtibution)
- Ensuring that the growth of sales meets and exceeds agreed target related performance requirements
- Generating and presenting technical presentations to demonstrate that products and services meet the customers’ needs
- Gathering data from distributors and customers in a standard format (forecasts, sales & stock reports, price monitoring, etc.)
- Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
- Promoting insertion machines to support the sale of Brand fasteners
- Prepare monthly territory reports specifically updating progress on key projects and targets
- Maintain and update customer information and activity on the CRM system (salesforce.com) and follow up pipeline progression
- Reporting to Sales Manager

Requirements:

- Higher level education, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar
- minimum 2 years’ experience in technical sales environment to industrial customers (automotive, electronics, machine building, sheet metal forming / fabrication market is preferred)
- Sales experience in the fastening / fasteners business will be a great asset
- Background in the sheet metal forming / fabrication market will be a big plus
Good English is a must (training, technical documentation, reporting to the European headquarter) + native French language;
- Ready to travel in the assigned territory especially northern part of France, active sales activities, client visits in the field
- Strong business acumen, client focused and results driven
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently, well organized
- Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel to include presentation skills
- Availability to travel extensively within the territory (driving licence)
