Our client is an international manufacturer of floorcoverings for residential and commercial use. Company is a part of a global, leading group in the flooring business. Due to the expansion of the organization we are looking for a professional to take on the new challenging role of Financial Director in a production plant located in Śląskie voivodeship:

Financial Director

Place of work: Śląskie ( production plant located near Katowice and Częstochowa)

Responsibilities:

Purpose of position

- effective management of daily operations within the finance and administration functions to produce quality and timely financial information which will assist and inform the management team and drive profitability of the production plant
- management of the Financial and Accounting Departments, cooperating closely with the Plant Financial Controller and Chief Accountant
- this role will require you to work closely with the Controller to manage the Finance/Admin function, to use financial information to flag up potential problem areas, and to identify and implement solutions. To analyse the finance function on an ongoing basis in order to provide strategic input and initiate and instigate changes to improve overall control, performance and profitability. This is a hands-on business management role
- responsible at a strategic level to drive and facilitate organizational improvement on an ongoing basis
- reporting to Finance Department Central (English) and local Plant Director (GM)

Main Areas of Responsibility

- setting up and managing the Business Control System
- preparation of monthly management accounts and managerial reports to tight deadlines;
- provision of financial analysis as a business tool to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Company
- initiating and preparing the (yearly) budgets, (quarterly) forecasts and (monthly) performance tracking to assist management decision-making
- liaise effectively with auditors and other professional bodies
- assume full responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the credit control and accounting, supervise and manage the effective working practices of staff within the Finance Departments;
- implementing and sustaining a comprehensive internal auditing system in alignment with corporate guidelines
- managing all legal & fiscal aspects of businesses and operations in close cooperation with corporate services;
- advising on strategic decisions and business planning

Requirements:


- Finance / Accounting related Master degree;
- Several years (>5) of experience as a BU controller / CFO (with end responsibility for Finance & Control);
- Experienced in an international environment;
- Outstanding technical accounting and finance skills – solid knowledge of Polish accounting regulations; experience with US –GAAP is preferred;
- Fluent in English & Polish
- ERP experience (e.g. Finance SAP)
